Kim Leuenberger

Kim Leuenberger is 21. She always liked photography and started to photograph at a very young age, though she got her first digital slr camera only two years ago as a gift for her nineteenth birthday. Kim also loves to travel. Born and raised in a small Switzerland town, lost between two chains of mountains, she was hungry to discover more of the world and be a real explorer. As she has set out to travel Europe, Kim also started to document the adventures of her loyal photo subjects — car and automotive miniatures.
Please enjoy the exciting life and troubles of Kim Leuenberger’s miniatures. To discover Kim’s full portfolio and to add her to friends visit her 500px portfolio. There you could also buy one of her lovely photos.

Ian Taylor

Ian Taylor was born to a life of travel. If we were to summarize all the countries where Ian has lived in, the order would go as follows: UK, Canada, Cambodia, Canada, and now Thailand. It was in Cambodia that Ian started to photograph. Inspired by his co-workers photojournalists and the beauty of backwater Ian bought a camera and a wide angle lens. From there it was a lot of shooting, self learning, getting feedback from fellow photographers and practice. Since, what started as a hobby became Ian’s full time occupation.
When browsing through Ian’s portfolio his kid photos caught our eye. The connection that Ian established with these kids was obvious and it was sincere. This ease of communication translated into great photos, where such elements as subject, background, setting, light and the shutter release moment are all in harmony. We hope that you’ll be just as mesmerized and inspired by Ian’s photos, enjoy!

Start shooting concert photos

How to get a photo pass for concerts? This is the question I get asked most often, and it was a question I myself asked a just few years ago. Once I had the answer, I had a front row seat to just about any concert I wanted to see. Here is the key… You've gotta be shooting for someone. That someone could be a newspaper, magazine, website, the venue, the artist, the promoter, a radio station, an instrument company, and the list goes on. But that's going to be the first question you get asked when you request a photo pass. Who are you shooting for?

Kouichi Chiba

Meet Kouichi Chiba, a talented Japanese photographer from Shizuoka. Kouichi creates fragile and romantic worlds, where paper characters live, thrive and go on adventures. Follow Kouichi’s creations through a lens of his camera. Enjoy!

Have a goal

I have four kids and I live semi-near Orlando… so we go to theme parks quite a bit. Now I get motion sick so easily (I am a big wuss and I admit it). However, what that means is that I am holding the bags and gear while the rest of the family is riding rides. This gives me time to scout and shoot at the various parks. Now, I have a plan which hasn’t come to fruition yet, but I am creating a portfolio of amusement park images in the hopes that one day I will be able to show the right person and they will give me credentials to shoot at the parks freely. (Mickey Mouse if you are reading this… call me :D) I am both enjoying my photography, but I am also trying to use it to meet a goal in my life — world domination. Your camera is a passport to a world of new opportunities, now your job is to figure out how to best use it to get where you want to go. I hope this will inspire you to go out and get even better at shooting the things that you love, and in the end, it will open doors that will let you check off some of the items on your own bucket list.

Opportunities

Having a camera and getting to shoot one type of opportunity then leads to other opportunities. I can trace a line back to early events that I had to shoot that I rolled my eyes at when I started, but now I think God I had the opportunity, because it prepared me for the events that put a permanent grin on my face. Like getting to shoot inside the ropes with Tiger Woods at a pro golf tournament? Or, getting to sit at the feet of two photographic legends and hear them discuss their work. Just two weeks ago I was so privileged to get all access passes to shoot onstage with one of my favorite bands. The camera will allow you to get access to people and events that others only get to dream about, but you must be purposeful in how you use it.
